Austria, Imperial. A Silver Bravery Medal, First Class, Fourth Award, C.1917 Newly Listed until sometime in 1927(Silberne Tapferkeitsmedaille I. Klasse). A round silver medal; the obverse depicting a rightward facing Emperor Karl, circumscribed by his name and title; the reverse inscribed Der Tapferkeit (German For Bravery), within a laurel wreath within Austrian flags in the background; on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with three repetition clasps (indicating four awards); marked with a Vienna assay city mark on the rim of the medal;
