This is a very nice example of a WWI Era Army M 1911 Campaign Hat with the early Montana Peak high crown. This example was worn by a U. S. Marine, and bears a USMC Eagle, Globe, Anchor (EGA) Device which is contemporary, and correct, for the age of this hat. As Marine equipment and accoutrements were rare during World War I, many were equipped with Army equipment, such as this. The Campaign Hat is in rough condition
