In silver gilt, an oval medallion with floral designs at its four ends, obverse centre shows the ancient Japanese crown and bird of paradise, reverse plain, measures 38. 8mm (w) x 46. 3mm (h inclusive of ball suspension), weighs 20. 5 grams, missing ribbon, dark patina, minor wear, very fine.
