This is an Imperial German Model of 1917 Stahlhelm with a metal liner band which indicates it as 1917 manufacture, complete with original liner and chinstrap. The paint of the helmet is heavily worn, retaining some of its original apple green factory applied paint, about 50% retained. The liner pads show stitching at the tops of each indicating having been sewn on later. Likely the liner had fallen out (which they
